Just bought a new swift carisma 570 and part exchange my old chalenger,  Any body got anything that I should check on collection or need to know about caravan?

Check the locker hinges, a friend had one from new and the hinges caused problems, the doors would not stay up. Nice van by the way.

Thank you ssteve.  I had the option of this and bayley ranger for almost same price and this just seamed to have alot more but being honest I dont know much about the diferent makes of caravans out there.  Have 3 children and it seemed best fot us.

Hi I bought the Swift Lifestyle last year and I would deffo check the hinges as the doors don't stay open.  I had to get an extra hinge put on mine which swift kindly did FOC.  If they are metal hinges then there is nothing to worry about its the plastic ones you need to look out for.

Apart from that my Van is excellent and i'm sure yours will be too.

Hi Kathy, what sort of Swift Lifestyle do you have? ours is 2002 and has metal hinges, I think they only tried plastic for 1 year.

Hi Anne I have a swift lifestyle 480 2005.  I purchased it in August 2005 brand New. I have plastic hinges and I do believe they have changed back to meal hinges but not looked at new vans recently.

No had any major problems with them just a couple of snags when first purchased.  Inside trim slightly not glued properly, shelf in wine cupboard kept slipping off grips.  Thats all.  Infact I am extremely pleased with my van. 

Got free flat screen tv when purchased.  Came with alarm, cd player and a few little extras.

We didn't get a tv, boo hoo! Ours has been fine apart from the alarm, we had it fixed but now it seems to have stopped working again, but it might just be us! We are pleased with ours as well but now we like the L shaped front, 2 single fixed beds and end washroom. Any caravan like that is double axle so debateable!
