I am looking for a handbook for our 1990 ABI Ace Rallyman.  We have had a couple of things go wrong with the water recently and we would like to make them good as the van is in excellent condition otherwise.  We were given it last year and although it had full instructions for the portapotti there was no owners manual.  I have looked on ebay for one but thought someone here might know where else to look.

I'm sure if you post on here what problems you are having with the water, someone will be able to help. If it's something like the water heater or the pump etc. they aren't specific to the ABI and as it's around the same vintage as my van (1991) I may have the manuals for the same appliances.

Thanks, Alan, for your help.  The water system is cold only; the kitchen tap stopped working independently last autumn but worked when the washroom tap was on so we thought it was microswitch problem.  We had to replace the water inlet and the washroom tap was working to begin with but now seems to have given up the ghost too.  We can't light the heater and we can't ignite the gas part of the fridge.  These are not really problems as we don't use them at the moment but if we wanted to tow in the future (which we can't at the mo owing to my husband's stroke and the fact I don't drive) they would be handy on a CL or similar.

We think probably the microswitches in both taps have gone and are going to replace them but were confused by a guy in our local caravan and camping shop who said that if we could still hear the taps clicking then the microswitches were fine.

Certainly does sound like a microswitch problem, unless it is a pressure system
You could have a look at Caravan Fault Finder

here
you might come up with something useful. What models are your fridge and heater?
Other more knowledgable people will also come along and give you more practical advice. If your fridge and heater are similar models to mine, I am more than happy to scan the manuals for you if necesary

Will have to check at the weekend as it is stored about 70 miles away.  Thanks very much for your help. Lovely dogs btw!
