We  have just had lovely weekend at Pinfold site in Sedburgh (nr kendal) was quite excited as last year we bought new suncamp ultima porch awning, towards the end of the season, so couldnt wait to get it all out the bag placed all my poles etc out in nice regimental form,  said to hubby ""stand aside, it only takes 20 mins single handed" hhmmmmmm!!!! well... slid it into the awning rail dohhhhhhhhh, of course we have changed the van and thought the awning would fit this van (Lunar clubman 420 2 birth)  NOT!!!! we bought the awning when had  5 birth ABI year, the awning is a good 12 inch lower down towards the ground that the ABI  no way would it fit, was really dissapointed as we need lightweight awning as hubby not really fit enough to be lugging the heavy ones about, so we looking for a ligtweight fulll awning  for the 2 birth........so if anyone any ideas, would be appreciated....(still had good weekend though)..

I got the Ultima 390 which I hope to put up for the first time next weekend. When ordering, they ask for the make of van it is to fit so they don't send one that dosn't. You may have to measure the van for doors and windows if it is the 390, the 260 should fit OK

It's the 260 we have, but it doesnt fit our Lunar 400/2 , we slid it onto the awning rail but the length of the poles were too long, we thought that we could take off one of the poles on each peice but then would be left with too much material...

and to Michael (lancashire) im'e open to offers, obviously it has not been used just unpacked and slid onto the awning rail, im'e sure you have looked at the price of them....so!!   if you fancy making an offer i carn't refuse lol,( by the way it's bugundy and grey) wer'e really annoyed it doesnt fit  as this is the kind we wanted, and carnt seem to find another lightweight awning, as we are now thinking of a full awning,

Im'e hoping to place in in the loot (am i allowed to say that on here )? tomorrow as we need to sell this one so we can put towards another.

HI sorry to hear about your awning - I have had the same trouble this weekend - I did alot of re-searching to find the best light, and easy to errect awning, I measured the height of my van, which is an older style - Abi Marauder - and it was within the height measurements given for the sunncamp, so I took the plunge and bought the 390 sunncamp ultima. I was so excited - but after errecting it this weekend - have discovered that it doesn't fit right - one side of the awning is down lower than it should be - because of the size of the van - don't know what to do, was trying to think of ways to salvage - as I really needed the bigger size for the family and like havebvanwill travel need a light weight awning that can be put up easily -

Right!!!!  i can understand your frustration..we DID have an ABI Highway 500ct (based on a marauder) last year whilst on hols we spent about 2 hrs measuring, height, width, depth  etc etc you name it ! we measured it! as we also wanted to buy the 390 suncamp, BUT!! because the ABI awning rail slopes down at the front (which yours prob ably does) we couldnt have the 390 and bought the 260, but in the mean time we changed vans and never give it a thought about the height, it sounds like your van doesn't  have a length of awning rail that is straight enough (if that makes sense, so like me a costly mistake, only sugestion i can make is to try and sell it and put it down to experience ( i have a giant book called "PUT IT DOWN TO EXPERIENCE) LOL, i am just about to place mine in the loot good luck lets know how you get on.

Know the feeling.!!!!!.
Bought a large PDQ in June last year.Loved the easy unroll and quick up alloy poles. We put it on, SNAG!! hadn't got the 3.3 metres of straight awning rail needed so it was great at the back of the van but untidy/bit saggy at the A frame end .Used it 4 times before we removed it though.Changed the Van, Won't fit this one either . Not likely to keep it til we buy one it DOES,...SO   Want a cheap awning.? Make me an offer and We'll throw in a bedroom tent too...And a couple of heavyweight inflatable mattresses.

Hmmmm makes me feel a little better knowing im'e not the only one to make BIG mistake, maybe the manufacturers should state a little more clearly the bit about "straight awning rail" im'e searching around here there and everywhere for my future awning, looks like it's going to be a full one, but then again maybe a bit heavy for us, perhaps i should go buy some poly sheeting and broom handles n ball of string lol

What about an Isabella COMBI( not Minor)with IXL poles. If your door is at the back it fits one side and top in the awning rail and the other side has a pad and pole down the side of the caravan.Quite reasonable on eBay.Bought one a few weeks ago for I think it was £63.It was in excellent condition.
