We have got a new tent and trailer for camping spring summer months, so having 3 young kids is it worth investing in a van for winter months and are there many sites you can use in winter?
i would ditch the tent and keep with the van once youve tried a caravan you wont want to go back to the tent also its nicer in the rain and not so wet.

Sorry, we dont want to ditch the tent! We have done both before we had kids but we really want to know if its worth buying one for winter months, if there are sites that have winter tourers.
We are in the Caravan Club and a lot of there sites are open all year. A lot of private site open open through winter too. We have had a caravan for two years now and always go away in the winter months too.

Hi, More and more sites are now open throughout the year. You need to look in the campsite guide on UKCS to find out which ones are open 365. I would recommend you buy a caravan for the winter season and why not try an awning on it to compare with the tent? You could easily become hooked.........
