I have bought an Elddis Elf, and with gas bottles, spare wheel and a few bits and pieces in the front box, the nose is too heavy to lift. Can anyone out there please tell me what the Elfs noseweight should be?

Yes-but it's really just a guide. However, you must always make sure that you do not exceed either the car manufacturer's tow hitch limit, the tow bar limit, or the caravan manufacturer's hitch limit - always aim for the lowest of these, and, Welcome to the Forum, by the way.

check your cars handbook for max towbar(nose)weight probabley 70-80kg--too heavy for my back to lift--you can buy a noseweight checker from a caravan shop--or just put the jockey wheel on bathroom scales--
