When we started camping (we now have a caravan) we soon realised that our sleeping bags were not cut out for outdoor sleeping - the temp varied thoughout the night from being too hot to shivering cold. They also felt damp underneath from condensation (this was prob why we felt chilly at times).
Anyway did a bit of research and decided to invest in much more expensive ones and I have to say, I think you do get what you pay for. Ours are extremely lightweight but keep a constant temp - they are a delight to snuggle into. We now use them in our caravan.
Not cheap at 2 for £210 - (I hear you gasp!) - but they will last us forever, and were well worth investing in.
