Hi everyone , due to a neighbour fallout we are looking to move our caravan into storage and not on the driveway, the only problem is our current insurer (C&CC) want to increase the excess from £100 to £500 as the storage doesn't have CCTV, electronic gates etc.As the van is a 1989 Avondale Leda and probably only worth about £750 I need to look for alternatives.
One of our friends has said the CC insurance doesn't care where it's stored so long as it has either hitchlock or wheelclamp is this right ?

As far as we are aware, this is correct.

We have never been asked where our van is stored, as long as either a hitchlock, or wheel clamp is fitted your covered.

You do need to be a member though

I've just took it out, and they never asked where I stored it - just about what security I had.
