You've all done very well so far, so here goes, another question for you all. (That is if you don't mind of course:))

We're due to collect our van from a company in Leicester in a couple of weeks, from there we'll be aiming to get back to Essex taking in one overnight stop.  This is basically a trial run in the caravan, and an excuse to try out the new kit.  Does anybody know of a good site to aim for?  Not really bothered about facilities or kiddies playground, as it's basically set up, eat, and go to sleep !

are you members of the caravan club they have a good site at Ferry Meadows country park in Peterborough

Most of the sites have reviews and web links so you can look at the pictures of the sites...

Great minds think alike, we stayed at Ferry Meadows last night (in the tent) and thought it was amazing.  Think we may well end up doing the same.  We do belong to the caravan club, so i'd better get organised and get booking.

Hi. Try the Top Lodge site Nr. Stamford.It is a C.C. site very quiet and peaceful. Ideal to "play with your new van". It is easily reached off the A47 from Leicester.

I`ll second that!       Its not too far from the A1

Its a beautiful site with many "drive through" pitches, handy if you`re unsure of reversing your new caravan !!

Feel I must point out that this site has no toilets or showers so it would be a chance to try out your new on-board fascilities !
