Hi all - I have just sold my boat and decided to purchase a touring caravan.

Its an Elddis Odyssey 544. I am having a Reich mover fitted too. It should be delivered within three weeks.

What is the best awning to go with this unit.

I have to say that we searched for weeks and finally decided on the Elddis as its one of the best that we have seen as far as value for the money is concerned. We had originally been looking at twin axle models - but nearly everyone we spoke to advised us not to buy one.

Anyway we have now joined the crew.

Cheers

Pazza

hello pazza and welcome

awnings are a personal thing really it all depends on how much you are going to use it and what you want from it, a full awning can be a pain for quick weekends off, and a porch could be too small for the long hols, we have a full for the one or two week trips and a quick erect porch for the weekends, have a look at some of the awnings availiable and you will get a idea of the different prices, also have a vist to a caravan dealer that sells awning and you will be able to see the different materials. good luck
