I washed an Isabella inner tent!  I can't actually remember if I hand-washed it in the bath or the the machine, but I do know that used Lux soap flakes (not detergent) to avoid removing the 'proofing' from the cotton fabric.

I was disappointed with the results though.  After waiting patiently for it to dry on the line, I observed that the staining which I had hoped to remove didn't really come out.

I think the staining was water/condensation - I bought the inner compartment second hand.  I might have another go in the machine with biological detergent one day, but for the time being I'm leaving it as it is.

- Oh and it creased badly in the wash, so I ironed it too!

If it's this type, we just put ours in the washer with a little vanish powder and it came

out fine.

I washed the inner tents from a folding camper in the machine, on a gentle wash and they came out okay.  Bit crinkled, but thats all ( I dont iron....).  They didnt have the plastic bottom bit though.  I dont see why you shouldnt wash the inner tent in the bath, but I suppose the plastic bit will hold the water and flood the place when you bring it out!!
