Can anyone tell me if the Status 530 Directional Aerial is any good, or is it better to use the good old fashioned tv aerial on a mast?

We have found the uni better than the omni but still had quite a lot of problems with reception down in Charmouth.

I dont even bother to align it or put it up in the air. I plug in the Freeview box and it sets itself up. The old omni was worse than hopeless in my opinion, i had it on 4 vans and every one was rubbish. The 530 is a quantum leap forward. at last they got it right.

Thanks thats really helpful, we found the old one useless in all our caravans too, but have the 530 on our new van that we are picking up this week.

Hi

I've no experience of the 530 but IMHO you'll have to go a long way to beat the old fashioned aerial on a pole (it's a lot cheaper too, even if it's not so convenient).
