I am considering selling my caravan, before I advertise it I would love to hear your comments about the van and the price, is it a bargain, to expensive? Just would like to know what you all think about my advert.

I must stress I am not 100% sure yet, but I think it may have to be sold this year.

Thanks

Pictures always help. If you can upload some to something like photobucket.co.uk, you can then place a link in your advert so that people can see it.

All the best

Sounds good although don't know this type of van.  Pictures always helpful to attract buyers. Does it have a bathroom?

Think carefully about why you're selling up. We love our van and spend all our holidays and weekends away at present but this may change.

Come on if we leave now we can make it before it's dark. How many times have we heard that?

Thanks for the comments, what’s amazing is, this Easter we put the caravan on a seasonal pitch in the hope we would be able to get away without trying to book sites last minute, which usually results in disappointment.

So far have only managed 3 nights away all on different weekends.

I was all set for a week away next week I planned for 9 nights, but now this is being eroded and I will be lucky to get 4 nights away.

Whilst I know how relaxing it is to get away this situation is starting to cause me more disappointment than enjoyment and I feel like throwing in the towel, I think if I thought I could sell the van without too much hassle and get the price I have asked I would let it go, hence the question does the caravan sound reasonable.

Oh, yes it has a toilet/shower room and a sink opposite the bed. I plan to take some digital pictures if I get there next week - I am old fashioned, not up with technology and only have proper photo’s so need to borrow a digital camera from my father.

Try it on ebay - we sold our old van and bought our new one on there

Got loads of enquiries from listing it then one person came and had a look and snapped it up for cash.

I wouldn't say that caravanning is a cheap holiday!   we bought a brand new caravan  which cost over £13,000, plus over £1,000 for an awning, we have to pay loads to keep it in storage, we pay £400 to ensure it every year, and also the cost of servicing, we pay tracker costs each year,

plus sites costs when we use it, in fact, all things considered it's a very

expensive hobby!! particulary when you consider  that it's only for 2 people. and we only use it for approx  25 days. each year,

We're the same Elaine, £16k van, £1000 site fees, £500 insurance, ??? Service fees (£150ish?).  You don't need to spend a fortune though, can have good times in an old cheapy.  We just splashed out because I'm not one for classic beach holidays and we get a lot more than a fortnight's holiday out of the cost.

We go away for weekends whenever we want, which I think was the original problem - they never get the chance to go.  If you don't get the use out of it, you must start wondering if its worth having it, especially when it cost so much to buy in the first place.
