we have just returned from a wet few days away. on Sunday our manual flush thetford stopped flushing. Nightmare with 3 women on board. i decided cos it was a wet day to take the flush to bits and found to my horror the pink stuff that you put in the tank had left residues all over the pump and mechanism. after further investigations i found the problem being solid pink stuff in the pipe that feeds the toilet flush. i was covered in this pink residue that was just like chewing gum. i can't believe the liquid i put in the flush water could solidify and go so sticky. the flush pipe has a smaller bore pipe within it and the only way i could free it was by cutting through the pipe then rejoining and feeding back through the larger bore pipe.

The pink stuff i use is sold by pyramid products, i am not going to use this anymore and wondered wether anyone else has had a similar problem with the flush tank.

Haven't had this problem, but used to suffer from the dreaded black bits until I stopped using pink in the flush. Now I just use water only and have had no problems at all.

Never had a problem with Pink stuff apart from the smell. Changed to Top & Tail as it means only one container to take with us and it smells nicer.

We h ad this problem last season flush got gunged up and had to be stripped and drained.

think it was due to the fact got thetford pink flush mixed with another type and did not like each other, flushed system and cleaned well, now use thetford and have had no more problems.
