Would it be a test regarding road worthyness or general safety. If it is a safety test then an NICEIC electrician will have to test the electrics, a CORGI gas fitter would have to test the gas, and a Ministry of Transport inspector would have to check the brakes and running gear. Once all these have had their wages, I somehow think £10 is a long way short of the mark.

An electrician to test the electrics? What, just to check the road lights work?

A Ministry Of Transport official to test the brakes? I didn't notice one at my last M.O.T. for the car.

A Corgi gas fitter? Why? What's the gas system got to do with road safety (which is what an M.O.T. is all about)?
