I tried this in the equipment section but nobody replied so I'm trying again here.

We've got one of these (a hitchdrive) fitted on our Adria caravan, and my husband wants to remove it, but can't find the instructions. Its a centre clamp fitting so it won't just slide out or lift out as the base is too big. we think something unscrews but nothing moves even after belting it with a hammer.

Can anyone who has one remember how it actually comes apart, please. The purpleline site doesn't actually give fitting instructions.

Thanks

Thank you, that does sound familiar from when we fitted it. We should be able to do it easily now.

Everyone who has ever bought one has one for sale. look on ebay. Its provided me with hours of entertainment on site watching people that could easily push there caravan in to place struggle for hours to move the caravan inches.

Look out for other new products from purple line including the Choclate Teapot:--

It would be as useful!

Disagree, bought mine 3 years ago and used it on our twin axle and now use it on a 1500kgs single axle. I can see it has some shortcomings but I could not manage without it.
