Hi there, i am thinking of buying a Eurotech caravan motor mover for my Elddis typhoon 4 birth caravan as it is quite awkward getting in and out my drive.
The only reason i have choose this one is because it is on offer locally near me.
If anybody can give any advise on the Eurotech motor movers performance i would be very gratefull.
Prior to getting my fixed mover, I used a/an Eurotech for a number of years and found it to be very good, providing you don't expect it to lift your caravan up over a kerb, etc. It's really first class and very manoeuvrable on level or slightly sloping ground. If your jockey-wheel is not the type that is easily removable from the "side" of the A-frame, where the clamp simply swings out of the way and the jockey-wheel pulls away, you will need to use a special bracket along with the Eurotech in order that it can be used on the actual tow-hitch.(To purchase the bracket separately is around £85, unless of-course the bracket comes with it).
Unfortunately, they are not suitable for use on grass or stoney ground.
2 weeks ago Guy on the same small site as us had one fitted to his Compass van.( Don't know the model) which was only
working when it felt like it All I could suggest was wd40 the switch,clean/re secure the Earth lead and check the battery. This did nothing,
Luckily another vanner just happened to be an electronics
wizard, who diagnosed a faulty circuit board, removed it,
repaired it, and replaced it for him, RESULT!!!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
