We recently bought a Porchlite Plus porch awning. However, the pole that goes around the top is only lasting 2 outings and then a section splits. We're now on our third pole and, understandably, are'nt terribly impressed.
The supplier has been very good but have said they will only replace it once more. They have confirmed, after questioning us, that we are putting the porch up correctly. We have also spoken to Outdoor Revolution who also say we are putting it up right. Neither are, of course, claiming that there are any problems although Outdoor Revolution did say they have had some poles back.
The supplier has said we can have a refund if we wish (which I think is very fair of them) but it leaves us in a dilemma. Do we risk them giving us another pole which just seems destined to split or do we get a refund?
If we have a refund, what porch do we then go for? I like the shape and size of the Porchlite Plus so can anyone recommend a similar looking porch. I've read that the Pyramids tear easily and the Sunncamp Phoenix has been suggested (can't find anything on the net about these though). I rather like the look of the Sunncamp Contempo or there's a similar looking one (a Sunncamp) to the Porchlite Plus.
I'd appreciate any advice and links to suggested porches.
Thanks in advance.
Jazzycats.
