I dont think it's going to pass the 'sold secure' security tests, but at that price it's a visible deterrent and, it'll get you discount on your caravan insurance !

I don't think it will unless it is sold secure approved. And if it's not then it might not really be up to mutch.
Just bought one and looks as good and srong as others same style and if there is 2 vans one with clamp and one without im sure i know what one they will try and steel and if you make sure you put the clamp on the side that is visible to passer bys ie in service staion then no one is going to start breaking it off well when i say no one i mean most people wont always get one though.
ive got one this morning not bad at all,not as strong as the one i have when stored but will be a lot lighter when i go off for our hols, and its still a deterant,

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
We bought the towball deterrent from Lidle. Basically you stick it in the hitch and then use an allen key to open up the ball which should the prevent any one hitching up your caravan. Drawbacks are that after 30 minutes trying to get it into an Alko hitch almost a divorce. May work okay on a normal hitch but for now it is in the bottom drawer!
