Any thoughts/experiences good or bad greatfully received !!
We are currently considering buying one of these Series 5 2007 fixed bed models. Its the right layout & the right weight for our needs and a good price but we haven`t had a Bailey before.
Nor a fixed bed. The washroom sink is in the bedroom rather than the washroom......does this cause any problems?
Thankyou for your help, Rick & Belinda

We have been very impressed with our Bailey Indiana, which is the same layout, the sink in the bedroom is no problem as far as I am concerned. I think you'll be very pleased with it.

We have the Ranger 460/4 and are very pleased with it. The fixed bed works well for us - we use that and 2 of our sons use the front dinette. If all 3 of them were to come with us the eldest would sleep in the awning or pup tent (he's 17). Having the sink in the bedroom is no problem - it means that one son can be cleaning teeth while the other is using the loo making bedtimes a little bit quicker!
We got our 460/4 just before Easter and we go on our 4th trip in it at the weekend.
The OH likes the bed better than the one at home
So far no problems at all, only 2 of us use it but would imagine it would feel crowed with 4 in it so an awning would help. Plenty of storage space and the sink outside the washroom suits us.
The only annoying thing I've found is that I will have to move the drainage outlets to fit an Alko jacking point on that side.
Oh if you use a flat screen TV you may need to install or devise a bracket to tilt it forward a little at the TV shelf is quite high when sitting down.
I don't think it is the same layout as the Indiana Elaine, BiL has one, they are good value for money and lightweight. I personally find it a bit cramped and would miss the lack of front chest.
We don't have a problem with the basin in the bedroom, our last 3 'vans have been the same. Why would it be??
We love our 460/4 Ranger. I cannot fault it apart from that I am only small so find that the toilet is a little high, but maybe this is the same in all new caravans, its not something that I tried before we bought ours. If it is the correct layout your needs you wont be dissappointed.
I just might have to place an order with you as my handyman skills leave alot to be desired these days ........ mind you if there`s no drilling etc to the `van I don`t mind having ago `cos I can`t spoil owt !!

All you need is a drill, jigsaw and router (Router not essential), a piece of MDF (or thick plyboard) 2 x 1m strips of flat iron (B&Q sell it), some nuts and bolts, paint and a tape measure
Oh and a bracket for the TV to hang from (Mine came with the TV)
It sits on the turntable fitted in the van so swivels too No modifications to the Van at all
