Both our 2001 Elddis and 2006 Coachman came with a spare wheel as standard. I would have told the dealer that I spare wheel was to be included in the price of the van, or I would be going elsewhere.
The only way to be sure about the spare which you still have, is to find out the part number of the recommended spare for your new Bailey (it should be stamped into the metal), and check whether your spare has the same identification. If there is any doubt, don't use it.
The PCD of the stud holes may "appear" the same, but the concave locations for the stud heads could be different. These factors could cause all sorts of problems; from localised damage to the wheel assembly to loss of the wheel when travelling.
The wheel may be compatible, but please make absolutely sure. Apart from the safety considerations for you, your family, and other third parties, if an accident did occur and the wheel was found to be unsuitable, your insurance would be invalidated with the risks of prosecution and enormous liabilities.
Bertie.

I`ve noticed Bailey don`t supply a spare wheel as standard with their new caravans, so as I already have an unused spare with my Ace Diplomat that I would be part exchanging, I was wondering if it would fit the Bailey?
They are both 14" wheels on Al-ko chassis, but I wonder if the stud holes are in identical places? Does anyone have these details?
It seems daft buying another spare when the one I`ve got will do the job. I`m sure it won`t effect the p/x price too much as they will be able to sell the new purchaser of my old `van a new spare !!
Thanks, Rick
We bought our new Bailey Pageant last July, it came with a spare wheel & carrier as standard. However, obviousy you know whether or not they're throwing one in now. I'd hand the part ex over having kept the spare & say nothing about it existing. When you get the new Bailey home, try the spare, if it fits you're laughing, if it doesn't then you can either flog it or hang on to it.
I doubt if the dealer mentined the spare on your van when he valued it for part Ex & he won't even think about it when you change vans. If he does, tell him you've not got a spare.
