The dorema system is good, I got a dorema awning last year and couldn't work out what to do with it, I was looking in the box for rubber suckers. I had to go back to the dealer and ask him. Like you I didn't want to be screwing brackets on to the awning. I do find the dorema full awning a pain to put up though and have just bought an "Outdoor Revolution Porch-Lite XL" awning through ukcampsite.co.uk. Just waiting for the ground sheet to arrive. It looks a lot easier to put up than the full awning, weighs a lot less and is still a good size. Having been on a few CC rallies this year, the porch awning seems to be the way people are going.
we got a Dorema porch awning earlier this year but decided we wanted a full awning also. During the heavy rains a fortnight ago we were on a site near hull and the site was under 2 feet of water at its deepest. My porch awning was completely dry inside but a guy with a awning of the type (but not neccessarily the same make) mentioned above was as wet inside as out.
