We were away last weekend had a great time, but unfortuanately the glass oven door came off any ideas how to put it back on can it be glued as it looks like it was in the first place, also we brought a ultima 290 porch awning and used it for the first time easy to put up the only problem are the sides which flap in the wind other than that a great porch awning any ideas
can't help with the door but we have the 390 and we have sewn an additional guy rope half way down one of the sides and we tie this to the rear handle of the van - also we don't pull the awning all the way up on to the straight bit of the awning rail we leave about 6" of the thread on the upright bit of the rail this gives a better fit to the van and make sure you peg the rubber straps under the van too. Everyone is having the same problem with these awnings it seems - there are lots of threads about them.

I just had an idea about the sides flapping as I have the 260 version.
How about using a couple of pieces of velcro sewn onto the flap and stuck on the side of the van? Shouldn't damage the van in any way and won't look too obvious.
The other alternative is to use brown parcel tape but that can get messy.
Make sure you peg it as far under the van as you can too. We find if we are on a grass pitch and do this it is much better - loads of hassle on the hardstandings though and involves bungies and concrete blocks!
we used our ultima 390 once and the elastic strips that peg into the ground sheared off and it wasnt that windy, because they are sewn into the tabs at the bottom you cant replace them easily so I contacted the company wher e we bought it from and they sent it back to Sunncamp who put new ones in for us free of charge. They were the ones that were near the side and take alot of stick in the slightest of weather! To be honest im not impressed with ours I think they are a poor design. you have to check the weather before you put it up, any signs of winds and you have had it!!
Have you tried using 15mm foam pipe insulation, You can slot it in where it touches the caravan make sure the canvas is taught. Most modern oven doors are double glazed so as not to get too hot. The outer is screwed to hinges while the inner tends to have brackets and a heat seal to hold in place - you have not given enough information as to make and model of van and cooker without all this it is difficult to help you.
We have a 260, and have used it in all sorts of unpleasant weather! It stood up to a windy weekend that flattened our friends' full canvas awning. We have found that the sides flap much less if you peg them as far as possible under the 'van (as Ali says) - takes a little bit of effort (especially getting the pegs out again!), but it's worth it.
Erm, well we have just had a very wet and very windy fortnight in Devon with ours up for the whole of the time we were there and we didn't have any trouble at all. We didn't even have to redo the pegs, it stood absolutely rock solid.
