Not sure if this is the right place to put this but to start with we have a large vango 900 tent ,my step father in law is selling an abi award brightstar 1993 2 berth he has given me and hubby first refusal. Father in law bought it from hubby sister 1 year ago for two thousand pounds.Someone says they are worth alot more than that but I cant seem to find any to compare prices with. It comes with a year old awning as well, can any one advise me on how to find the price of one to buy elsewere, he has not come to us yet with a price he wants for it yet.He is bringing it back from camp site to sell to us or private as he is no longer wanting a caravan. So he will tell us a price then any one any one got any ideas of a price cos like I say we are more into tents any help advice tips or opinions appreciated thankyou
I bought a 1993 award transtar off E-Bay last year and i love it .I paid 2600 quid for it.I know its not the same model as yours but cant be that much differant can it? Its a 2 berth and tows great with my astra.Yours sounds like a bargain to me, and I didnt get an awning with mine.
If you type "ABI Award" into Ebay it will probably come up with a fair amount - you can check what they have sold for in completed sales - this should give you a reasonable idea.
we looked around for ages looking for a brightstar has we like the layout and ours too came with an awning we paid a bit more then you as ours is a 1997. The price would depend on the year, condition and also what comes with the caravan but on average they seem to sell between 2,500 and 3,000
I had an 1994 ABI Daystar 78 years ago that was clean and dry when I traded it and it was valued at £3500 which since I paid £7000 for it in 1997 seemed like a realistic value. A value of £2000 for a 1993 Brightstar would seem like the top end of the price range currently to me. The Awards of that era were brilliant vans, and if you can get hold of one that is clean and dry you will find a van where the inside consrtuction and comfort have never been improved upon.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
