I need a 4 berth caravan but our little car can only cope with towing 1200kg max :(

Can anyone even tell me if it's possible to get one that light? The younger the better really (ie brand new is no problem)

We have a Bailey 460/4 and originally towed it with an old focus estate 1.8i. It towed well enough until pulling off from a standing start on a steep hill or very wet roads, grass etc.

We got an old Honda CR-V just to pull the van as we tend to camp in hilly areas.

How about a Lunar Chateau 400? Twin dinette style [you can leave one bed up] about 9k.

We have a crystall 390tk. 4 berth and only 1000kg max. wt. I think the 6 berth has a max. wt. of 1200kg.

Got a Ford Focus 1.6LX which also has a max of 1200KG. I currently have a Freedom Jetstream 2 berth but they do them in a 4 berth also (not fixed bed though). But I have just swapped it for a brand new Sterckeman Starlett 4 berth at Freedom in Stafford. The fully laden weight of this van is only 950KG, they aren't an expensive van to buy either at approx £7,000.00 new. Was a nice present to myself for my 19th birthday can't wait to pick it up.
