Hi everyone. Is it possible to have a faulty one. I have been caravaning for around 5 years now and always had the old still stabiliser with the blade etc. In may I bought a new pageant burgundy S6 and i thought the new stabilser was better than the old type. I have been away about 7 or 8 times in it but on the last two occasions it seems as though the caravan is swaying around alot. is this just my imagination or could it be faulty. I know if i go back to the supplier they will probably give me some gumph about thats just the way they are etc. It would be good if i could find out some info for some ammunition to sound as though i know what im talking about.

thanks for that.yes the green buttons do pop up. i dont seem to be doing anything different than previous outings regardind speed, nose weight etc

When it comes to an unstable outfit I would suggest that the stabilisor is the LAST culprit. All caravans should tow perfectly well without one. If it doesnt, there is something wrong....and it's NOT the stabilisor

The stabilisor should only come into it's own in fairly extreme situations....ie. draught from passing vehicles....high wind gusts...undulating road surfaces etc.

It will, of course, dampen mild sway and pitching in all normal circumstances but that isn't really the purpose.

thanks for that, i havent put grease on towball but i will double check all pressures and nuts etc. as i was saying we havent done anything different from the previous occasions that we have towed including the loading. maybe it is just my imagination,lol
