Dont think so. CC site is behind the Abbey. I saw a picture in the paper today and it showed the Abbey and you could see the CC site behind. it looked empty.

I saw those pictures on Sky News - it looked like the owners had had to leave their 'vans pretty quickly with no chance to take down awnings or tow away the 'vans.

I was moaning about a few puddles outside our 'van last weekend - I don't know how lucky I am!  []  My heart goes out to those caught up in the floods, either at home or just there on holiday.  It must be devastating to see your pride and joy swamped with water like that. [:(]  Here's hoping they're all adequately insured.

There was a picture on the front page of the Telegraph this morning which showed the CC site and there are 4 caravans on there and 4 cars all parked next to the toilet block and all out of the water. All the rest is clear. I wondered if those vans are the wardens vans perhaps they parked them there whilst they evacuated the site and then found themselves stuck.

Saw the pics. People must be devastated by it all but think we caravanners would cope but imagine if it was your home that all the sewage came into. I have had this happen & where do you go with the kids  when you cant live in your house for months? We were lucky we went home to my mum but not all people have somewhere to go and the kids find it very hard to understand & suffer so much.

My heart goes out to everyone in the flooded areas but think you are all still here & its only bricks & mortar after all xxx.

HI

The photos of the caravans floating in the water with the awnings atttached were in Upton on Severn at the site by the bridge. It was very sad as many leave their vans for the summer and had made gardens around the vans and had sheds. Saturday people were desperately trying to save what they could and a few vans were able to be towed off.

We were on a CL at Upton on Severn but luckily enough a 1 1/2 miles away from the river so we were not cut off and were able to get home to Shropshire by motorway.
