Im looking at a van that states its total length is 18ft, does that mean the length from A frame or the body length of the caravan.It is a Coachman Mirage 440/5 1991.

HI iam sure it is just the length off the body does not include the hitch if i am wrong some body will tell me

I'd go inclusive of A-Frame.  Mine is 1" under 26ft and this includes the A-Frame. If it says the Total length, then I'd definitely assume it includes the A-Frame, most companies do.  Is it a private ad or trader?  A personal ad might only go off the body.

Coachman (which ours is) usually give two length measurements.  One is the internal length (inside of body)  and the other is shipping length (total length of van, including A-frame and hitch).

18ft outside 21ft inc draw bar

Thanks for all the replys.I decided to travel and look at the caravan, it turned out to be 15ft body length with a 3 ft a-frame just what I wanted, so I bought it.Im a very happy bunny.
