I have just had a thought, I live in Berkshire, and foot and mouth has just been confirmed in Surrey, which is about 45 mins drive away from me, we have our caravan stored at a beef farm in Berkshire, what will happen if the exclusion zone includes an area where our caravan is stored, or if it spread will we not be able to take our van out or bring it back!

You've just answered your own question. An exclusion zone is just that. No one in unless in authority.

That's very worrying.  I rang the site today and they told me they are putting down disinfectant mats, and that they can't move any of their animals.  I only hope that it is an osolated case.  I am a bit surprised that no-one else has responded to this thread, as I know of a lot of people on here that store their caravans on farms, who would be equally concerned.  Might also post this in the general outdoor life thread.

isn't it just the Animals that can't be transported? The farmers must still use their own cars to get around, so can't see any reason why you can't get your Vans out as long as you go through the disinfectant.
