we bought a pdq awning last year. they're crap. the shape is too square, the awning rail bag is a stupid gimmick you won't use, and they are no use in any medium wind. Ours ripped at the top seam on the second use so we took it back and swapped it.
we now have a quick awning which is one of those with 3 poles shaped like a quarter of a circle, almost like a dome. it's bigger and looks better, folds into a very small bag and cheaper too!
those spacelight ones are everywhere and look great, plus very cheap at the moment, roughly from around £65 if you shop around. So many people can't be wrong! Got a full length awning size 980cm going cheap if want one?!

we have a suncamp awning, which we find very useful when we just go away for the weekend, its easy to put up , very quick drying when it comes to taking it down very light to carry around, if we go away for a longer period we use the full awning that gives us a little bit extra room.

We have the sunncamp Ultima 260 and continually get a stream of people coming up to us and asking about it. Much more spacious than a lot of the competitors and we have seen it stand up to some awful weather this year without a problem.
Sadly, the Contempo has been discontinued. I have used mine to death and it is perfect! Fits against the van well, stands up to heavy wind and has never let in.
I thought the Ultima's were difficult to fit against the van. The ones I see always seem to gape
Have revised my list. The PDQ is a definate no no and the spacelite seems to be a bit of a disappointment. So now it is between the Sunncamp Contempo, and the panorama 390.
Does anyone know where I might get a contempo from?
I have recently bought a Sunncamp Ultima 390 and used it twice so far. I am well pleased with it but you do need a very level pitch to get it to seal well against the van at both ends. It is easy to put up and down and is fairly light weight, it appears to be well made and should last a while. I seached the internet and manged to get one for £161 which is not alot more than most small porch awnings.
