hi, just collected our burstner 530tl 2003 5 berth uk spec end bedroom. We have tried to assemble the end bunk bed and cannot find a cushion to fit as a mattress. Does anyone know if it is supposed to a separate different mattress? (The previous owners didnt use the bunk so they dont know either). I have been trawling the internet but cannot the answer anywhere. The manual only shows the beds in the middle of van not at the end like our one. Can anyone help?
Sorry I don't have the answer, but we do have a Burstner. In the owner's manual there are loads of combinations of how to make the beds up. Ours also has 2 extra 'cushions', which are really no more than fillers to fill the gaps. My only other suggestion would be to contact the Burstner dealer to ask for their advice.

thanks for that. We have one extra cushion but that is to make up the double bed underneath. I will have to try a dealer unless anyone replies who has one?
Still have not had any luck so brought a camping mattress which daughter says is comfy enough. My other concern now is that I dont know how much weight the bunk can take. Not a problem at the moment as daughter is a skinny 6 year old. Does anyone know what the max weight load is on the fold up bunks?
hi , yes it is the same layout with the bunk that opens up at the end. I can see that have separate cushions on there bed not ones that match the seats so that answers that query. I cannot find anything on that info about maximum weight though.
I looked at the burstner owners club but they want £20 to join, having just spent a fortune on caravan bits I dont really want to join them unless I have to. Thought i would try here first to see if anyone has the info. Thankyou all so much for taking the time to reply and find all those links. I hope all caravanners are as helpful as you.

There are other comments on this message board that refer to Burstner bunk weight limits, several have said that Burstner bunks are usable by adults. My ancient City seems to back that up but cant vouch for the more recent models.
