Finally we get away for a long weekend and the sun is shining - we must be righteous after all!!!
The camp site looks promising with a nice outdoor heated pool, but things start to go a little wrong on arrival.
We are shown to our site by a chap on his bike, but luckily there was another member of our group who arrived at the same time noticed that he was putting us on the wrong sites. Would not have been too impressed if we had set up with the awning then found out we were on the wrong one. This camp site does not allow groups or like the word groups, although we were all family and there were five lots of us. We would have liked to have placed the caravan in line with the back hedge fronting onto the pitch which would have allowed the aqua roll etc to be behind the caravan and out of the sun, but no it would not be "uniform" then we were only allowed to put it on a certain patch which would have meant the awning hanging over the neighbours pitch - he said as they are with you why not?? We tried to explain that they have cars to park and tents to pitch etc so that would not be possible, so we ignored him anyway and set up so our awning was on our pitch abiding by the 10 foot rule. Luckily no further hassle, but talk about fussy!!
Other than this the site was fantastic, the pool was brilliant and the weather last weekend the best ever - bring on the sunshine for the next one at the end of Aug.
Have fun
