Be very careful it's a genuine sale and not a stolen or damp van.  If you haven't a clue take someone with you who has, or go to a reputable dealer in your area.  Don't pay the first price asked by private or trade seller.  Haggle a lot. If necessary leave your phone no and walk away - they might phone back with a better price. Check out dealers websites like http://www.caravanpriceguide.com/ (I can recommend them for new vans - haven't bought 2nd hand from them)

There are a few good dealers round you:

Overland at Larbert (new and used)

Murray Motors at Airth (used only)

Kingdom Caravans in Kincardine (used only)

Or if you don't mind going a bit further I can highly recommend Perthshire Caravans at Errol between Perth and Dundee.

Got our van from Kingdom in Kincardine. They were great and prices are reasonable and they give a 3 month money back quarantee. From Stirling go over the bridge and turn left at the lights and they are about 350 yards on the left.

Hi stevie and catherine a couple of decent van dealers are Knowepark on the M8 and Duncans in Wishaw , maybe  you might want to take a wee trip to Peebles and have a look at Crossburn caravans a nice site but they are dealers too with a load of decent vans for sale.

We stay in Livingston and had hoped to use Knowepark when buying our 'van back in March but they offered us a silly price for our part exchange on a 'van costing £7595.

We bought from Overland instead - the 'van cost £6800 and they gave us a much better trade in.  We took our old caravan to them one Saturday, picked up its replacement seven days later by which time they'd already sold ours and it was gone!  The service they gave was excellent - they made us feel like we were buying a brand new caravan, not a six year old one!

Smugly happy to report that the one we were going to buy from Knowepark way back in March is still sitting on their forecourt!  It's a twin axle which, with its weight not everyone can tow so there's obviously a smaller market for it but, as we're lucky enough to have a Discovery, we could tow anything but still they wouldn't budge on the trade-in - their loss!

Guess the moral of this is to shop around!

We bought from knowepark as we didnt have a trade in we got a good deal on the one we purchased . But We bought from Murray the last time we bought a tourer and can happily recommend him also .
