Hi can anyone give me some advice please. i have just bought a new caravan and it is much bigger than my last caravan,. i currrently have the suncamp 260 porch awning and it is great for weekends but i am looking for a decent awning for when i am away for 1-2 weeks at a time. my only problem is getting it dry when it rains (as it always does as soon as my van come out the storage yard ha ha)

i have been looking at dorema awnings probably the montana. i need size 15 which is up to 1020cm.

does anyone have one of these and is it any good? is it easy to put up and put down and get dry?

can anyone reccomend another awning if not and any good suppliers as they all seem reallly dear. are they worth the money

thanks tracey

Hi, You can pick up a really good awning on ebay for a fraction of the original cost. Isabella are by far the best. Don't worry about taking an awning down if it is wet. They can easily be dried on a washing line or hung in a garage once you are back home.......Can't help you with the suncamp 260 or dorema but someone else with one should be along soon.

Hi,
Isabella is very good awning. But if you want to save money buy a Ventura awning. Its a isabella but made in poland at a fraction of the cost. They ship the material and cotton ect then bring em back and thats it.The only difference is Ventura dose not have a round window in door as some isabells do. Good luck

Hi,

We have had Dorema Awnings (several) as well as other brands (bradcot, isabella, nr, etc).

We would go out on a limb and say that we prefer the doremas simply because of the value for money. There isn't much difference in quality these days and they tend to have most. if not all, of the latest "must haves". Cheaper awnings used to suffer from premature fading but we've never come across any of our doremas (both new and used)

Acrylic is lightweight and quick drying. Should you have to pack it wet, if you choose one of the 5pce awnings then they can simply be hung on your washing line, garage, landing, etc to dry out.

If you go to a show, they usually have show specials on.  We bought our Dorema full size awning and got £200 off the best OL price I could find.
