There is a current site being used by travellers not far away from us at the moment (saw it yesterday)- how do they get away with no licence plates on the vans they are towing? I suppose though they don't get stopped as any plods straight away probably don't want the agro and probably wouldn't be able to follow anything up if they did stop them, so probably don't bother. Does this mean they don't bother with things like road tax and insurance?
They look like typical travellers, complete with tarmacing gear. All with very nice looking vans. They have already been seen snooping round a local farm which has now had to be locked up.

? Mr PP has just gone and bought another business, holiday?...we should be so lucky!
not a good idea because the caravan cannot leave the car in the event of an accident, and the fire brigade would not be to happy about it as it would lose valuable time in a fire situation.only takes 30 seconds to fit on a motorway service area.

the travelling community use to arrive opposite our plastics factory every year even having signwritten vans advertising replacement guttering/drainpipes with mobile numbers of course needless to say there was a hole cut in our perimeter fence, stock going missing ,bikes stolen from the bike shed, quad bikes ridden in our car park. we had a jcb in to make what was a nice piece of flat ground into a huge mound now, hence no more problems
we never leave our van unattended, we take it in turns to go to the toilets etc, but I imagine it would be difficult for people on their own but would be prepared to watch over someone else's van whilst they go to the services
