Just to give the other side of the coin a brief polish...(keep a sense of humour )
The reason why so many motorists want to overtake you (caravaners) is because your vehicles are renowned for being slow (and I include learners, lorries, caravans, tractors and JCB's etc). I drive between 25,000 to 30,000 miles a year and if I have to spend any longer in my car than I already do I might as well give up my wife and kids.
While this may seem obvious, and I take on board your stories of 4 seconds gained in a queue, the point is that if you don't overtake the slower vehicle, how long are you going to be behind it...and the next one and the next etc. I make no excuses for poor driving, bad drivers are not just problems for caravaners..we all have to suffer them.
As for BMW drivers...well, thanks to BMW's being marketed as the 'Ultimate Driving Machines' every prat with a fat exhaust pipe now aspires to own one. Personally, however, I'll stick with my Mercedes...it will no doubt serve me well when I'm old enough to warrant owning a caravan
Renowned or percieved.......there is a huge difference.
