ABI Monza 1400S - year Indeterminate, colour Bright Orange! This was our "Do we want to get into this caravanning malarkey" van. Yes, we did......
1990 ABI Award Tristar - Great van. Had it for 3 years. Sold it to help pay for a holiday in Florida. Big mistake.
Used some of the Tristar money to buy a Talbot Express homebuilt motorhome. Big ugly beast, 5 berth with beds made out of angle iron, weighed tonnes, went slow, 20-25 mpg. Went away about 3 times in it, once all the way to Peterhead and back. Didn't like the restrictions of a motorhome when it came to getting into town etc.
So, this year, bought a 1982 Elddis Hurricane GT. Love it. Quite a well-equipped van for it's age. Will get something newer next year but would never contemplate buying a new van. Or car for that matter.
