if you attend a ukcs meet there are lots of flag poles with up to 4 flags on each sometimes! Plus chaser lights going up them, and fairy lights in the van!!  It's like blackpool!!!!

We will be flying the South African flag during the rugby as hopefully we will win the cup again.  Mind you when England play, I support England even though the missus is Welsh.    At least when England and SA one tends to be neutral cheering both sides when good moves are made.  After all it is how the game is played, not so much as who wins.

Why do some people fly those windoscks when camping - sorry but just something I have always wondered as to what is the purpose of this.  David.

Some folks fly windsocks and or flags so that their kids can find their pitch and not get lost.
I fly flags on our caravan because I enjoy seeing them and it can be a help when watching the weather, wind coming from different areas can be very helpful at predicting the weather.

As long as you are for other nations flying their flags alongside you, then it's fine.

We've always got the three welsh flags (St Davids Cross, the Welsh Dragon and the flag of Owain Glyndwr) somewhere on our pitch, but don't always hoist them into the sky.  Sometimes they are draped over a chair or something.

Where did you get that one?

I always fly a Wales windsock and a Scarlets flag.

Karen and Peter once again apologies for getting it wrong.   I really like the St David's flag.  As someone else said this site is educational.

Scarletsfan,

This is the Owain Glyndwr flag.  You can get them in most Welsh gift shops.  We've got a big one from Mr Flag in Llansamlet.

Ed and Anna

We are going to Aviemore for a few days then off to the Isle of Mull. I can't wait to get out of the rat race for a while. Out whole holiday is going to be devoted to wild life watching. The only downer is it looks like I am going to have to log into my PC at work for a few hours, and will probably have to call them to deal with any problems. I will make sure I take an additional days leave though to compensate.

Not been as far up as Mull, but friends have and they said it was brilliant.

We were at Arran earlier in the year. Lovely place.
