Hi Hugs , the fixed it club members are always about on here , so if you have questions while your repairing your caravan ask away .
Caravan damp repairs do seem daunting , but once you work out how they are put together you'll realise it's not to complicated , it's just a aluminium skin with wooden spars , polystyrene and wall board that make the main wall / ceiling structure .
It will take time and lots of labour to repair , but the results will be worth it .

Good luck with the repair , and we'll be here when you need advice .

We had a caravan with similar problems. first my husband removed the back panel . the wood for the new back panel was quite cheap , we used white faced hard board. he then got some insulation board"silver" and lined the entire wall with this before replacing the panel . i made new covers for the chairs , i unpicked all the old covers to use as templates for the new, replace the foam if it smells a bit foist. i made new curtains and paint and grained all the wood work. the floor was ok so we just put down new carpet  , the caravan which forgot to say was an old monza was lovely when we finished. we made a good profit when we sold it too. we have done 3 vans and its nice to see them back to their former glory.

another good insulation for walls is expanda foam .
