Just had an email recommending one of these. I have my caravan on the drive and acces periodically during the winter so the open side looks good.

Do you use a cover? Whats the positives and negatives?

Our van came with one and we wouldn't be without it now.  It will go on again in October when we leave the van in storage and come off in March and we won't spend a week cleaning it!

Not one has a cover on. I guess they cannot all be wrong.

Maybe Soundsdigital, these folk with the 30 year old vans have no where else to store them, but at the same time don't want to part with them because they give them endless pleasure when they go away in them. They probably don't see any reason to change the van they have (albeit 30 years old) as it serves their purpose perfectly well. there is also a possibility they cannot afford a new van or don't want a loan hanging round their necks for years to come to pay for one.

we thought about caravan covers a few years ago but then I treied Fenwicks overwintering for caravans . once its applied it stays on for the winter and it washes off so easilly in the spring. I dont get any rubbing of canvas on the sides of the van , I can still tow the vehicle if needed and have full acess to the caravan

I have just ordered a new bottle from Soapysmiths and it now comes as a winter kit of the winterizer and two interia dry bags .
