Have just bought a ABI Dawnstar, can anyone tell me where to find the chassis number? Have found a nuber on the axle tube & another on a plate by thr door. Also after a handbookif one is available,

Chassis number is on plate by door on my ABI Cricket, second line down.  It also seems to form part of the CRIS registration etched on the windows - if your van is CRIS registered.

Thanks for info. Plate by door has van type:Dawnstar Award, second line down starts M3A then 7numbers. Also found a 11digit number on axle tube, starts with ABI then the numbers. Van not CRIS registered as it's'89/90ish

I expect the number second line down on your van is the one.  Just checked mine, top line says Cricket 3.80/2 (model) and second line has 11 digits combination of letters and numbers and then a space and then 6 numbers.

Mine has its chassis number stamped into the A frame just behind the hitch as well as on the plate by the door.

I recently had to phone Swift and quote the chassis number and was told it was the Cris number.
