Hi Hookup , on later caravans they have a bulkhead regulator ( permantly fixed to the bulkhead of the caravan ( bulkhead being the back wall of the gas locker ) ) , all that's needed to change to a different gas bottle is a different pigtail ( the pigtail is a piece of gas pipe with fittings at each end , one end has a threaded nut to fix on to the regulator and the other end has different fittings for different bottles ) .

Thanks for that wizard. Our regulator is hose clipped to the 12 inches of loose pipe in the gas locker,and stays screwed directly onto the bottle until we change it.Will checkout the alternatives as you suggest.
