HI THERE, HAS ANYONE BOUGHT A Outdoor Revolution 'SPACELITE' AWNING AS I WENT TO NEC AT THE WEEKEND AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY ON DISPLAY! IF SOMEONE HAS BOUGHT ONE OF THESE PLEASE CAN THEY TELL ME WHAT THEY THOUGHT OF IT AND HOW QUICKLY IS IT TO FIT UP. I HAVE A FULL AWNING BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME THING THAT WAS LIGHT AND QUICK TO PUT UP JUST FOR WEEKENDS ONLY.
DOES IT HAVE ANY POLE FIXING BACK TO THE VAN?
ALSO WHAT QAUILLITY IS THE AWNING--- VERY LITE MATERIAL? OR IS IT MAKE OF A LOT STONGER STUFF?
Not sure which awning it is but we have a Movelite by the same company and it is very easy to put up.....we had a large traditional awning before but due to my back problems we decided on this model as it was so much lighter........Oh can more or less put it up himself......ours fits to the awning rail like a normal awning and has two poles like a tent.....it has stood up to strong winds too....... have you looked on this web site www.blue-diamond-products.co.uk I think mostt of their products are feature on the site.
Sorry I can be of no more help to you.

We also hated our spacelite at first but love it now. The material seems very sturdy and we have used it loads of times and had no problems. There are elastic staps next to the van which you use to get a close fit against the van side and the guy ropes and storm straps to tension out the front. We can put it up in about 10 mins and we never bother using the full awning any more because the spacelite gives almost as much room. We leave it on the side of the van all of the time so we got the metal fixing things (don' know what they are called) to make sure it doesn't move.
We got ours on Ebay with a breathable ground sheet for £160
We also considered the Spacelite but opted for the Movelite just like Suzzie. It is actually a domed awning with crossed carbon poles and designed principally for a motor home, but it has a small tunnel that attaches to the awning rail of the caravan. It is only in the small print you see that they sell it also for caravan use!
We used it last weekend for the first time and we were really pleased with how versatile it was. It has a door on each of the 3 sides that rolls up and in the summer you can use the poles provided to make the door into a sun canopy using guy ropes. Took us about 5 minutes to slide the poles into the sleeves, and 10 minutes to do the pegs. We dried it in the Utility room on Sunday. Couldn't do that with the big one!
It is on offer at Camping International for £139.00. We paid £135 at the NEC including post.
I have just noticed that you are only up the road from me so if you want to have a look at a spacelite before you buy you would be welcome to look at ours.
Sure I saw on at the NEC on Saturday. Not sure what stand it was on, but it was almost opposite Towsure, just to the right, towards the leukemia research stand where you could leave your bags. They are a lightweight material. Not the thinnest I've seen but nor is it the thickest on the market. I bought the Porchlite XL which I'm sure would be made of the same material and am very pleased with it. Our full awning was too bulky to be putting up and I was fed up keep moving it out of the way. The Outdoor Revolution is much better, almost as big as the full awning was and that's on 5 meter caravan. The only problem I can see with it is it might be too big to fit a small caravan, but they also do a standard (non XL) which is smaller.
We have had ours since July really pleased with it, it only takes about 20 mins to put up and everthing inside, hubby can even do it all be himself (not bad for being a man
