I am new to caravanning and have read in a magazine that over the winter, I should store my cushions on their end to let air around them.
Is this the same with the cushion from the fixed bed? Or should I just lift the bed up?

Never really tought about is as I'm always popping in and out of my van which is parked in the drive. Perhaps if it was in storage elsewhere I would probably take them home.
------------- Don't know where I'm going but will be happy when I get there.
Ours were left in the van on the seats last year. Despite a small damp patch on one where we had a leak in the window, no problems. I did take the bedding out though and don't forget to drain the water heater. I intend using the van through the winter this year, but will still drain the water after each trip, after all a good freeze only takes a few hours. The bedding will be getting a wash in the next week or two as there was a bit of a damp smell in the van this weekend. It did go away once we got the heater on and warmed it up a bit though.
Even though we don't have a damp problem I always use those crystals which absorb any moisture in the air when the van is shut up..( Forgotton what they are called at the moment) They also absorb any condensation during the night and any steam when cooking. as not all of the steam goes out the window or ceiling ventilation.
