we always go away for new year ,never have any problems .we always use an electric convector heater as we are on a 16 amp hook-up.if it is very cold we leave the convector on all night in the washroom and leave the door ajar,in the morning warm van and warm washroom.

------------- the mighty rams!will return someday !!!!dont know when tho !
we will be away for christmas too.weve been many times and not had many problems.at chester one year the weather was freezing but i kept a small bottle of water inside and wrapped and old coat around the aquaroll.i also had a spare pump so swapped them over often-to give it chance to defrost.dont have a spare pump for this new van and they are quite expensive now arent they?we shall see.
I have an insulated aquaroll and pipe cover on in winter.
And use winter covers on the fridge vents. Says in my handbook to use when temperature goes below 10 degress. Cuts down a lot of cold draughts and have water pipes feeding sink above fridge next to vents.

don't see wind and rain stopping us. The van never blew a way in storage so It should be ok on a hardstanding. Even if it is a bit noisy, we can always play Auld Lang Syne a bit louder to drown it out
