Ahhh upon further reaserch it appears as long as they are the same tone then they'll perfectly road legal. I think the ones which do fancy tunes are illegal. While working in the garage after finishing my mechanics the MOT tester told me they were illegal - cos my Bro was on about 'em when he passed his test - maybe he was wrong

our company lawyers looked into the law for us before we even offered our equipment for sale so we didnt leave our selves wide open to being sued.
The law states only horns of single tone none sequencial sound maybe used on the public higway. Only emergency vehicles are permitted use of two or more tones / sequencial sounding on the public highway. The police, vosa and the enviromental health also supported our findings. The only other laws governing horn use is the prescribed hours of use and not to menace with.
