Can anyone recommend a really good sealant, the ones we have tried previously either don't harden properly and stay sticky, or start pealing off within a year. Thankyou.

I second that. Sikaflex is second to none. It's used for everything where a first class joint is required, boat building, windscreen fiting. It is unbeatable.

all depends what you want to seal. most caravan joints move at some time or other, so that is why flexible sealant is used as solid sealant would crack and so render the seal useless

Sikaflex 512 without doubt, just make sure you clean all the old sealant off first.

One thing to remember is when you have finished cleaning with white spirit , clean the area again with meths , because sealant / mastic doesn't like sticking to surfaces that have been cleaned in white spirit .
