"The powrtouch product is the best on the market and certainly far better than others mentioned."
How did you arrive at this conclusion? - years of testing in the field, I presume. As for comparing Rolls Royce to a nissan, anyone that has ever been involved in QA would inform you that the japanese car industry practically re-invented the word quality ( with the help of QA engineers from the west initially.

Well, I got a quote for :
Powrtouch Heavy Duty unit with Powrbar £649.95
Extra 3 Year Guarantee £ 95.00
(Enduro charge £99.00 for the additional 3 years, bringing the total guarantee period to 5 years)
Total £ 744.95 fitted
It is a bit dearer than other people's quotes on here - I think I must have gone wrong with the unit I used as a price-match example, which was an Enduro mover for £649.95 from http://campervanaccessories.co.uk. However, it looks as if it would cost me over £1,000 if I paid full price for it, so it's a good price, even if more than I expected. Another bonus, of course, is that they come to you to fit it, which is worth a few bob in itself.
I was a bit confused by the extra 3 years guarantee, because I Powrtouch give a 5-year guarantee anyway but I realised that I price-matched with one that has only 2 years guarantee.
I said I wasn't much good at this sort of thing!

Just as a personal comment, there seems to be a lot said about a 5-year guarantee. I'd just question the value of this, as when you look at them , all they are are 2 12v motors and a fairly simple control box, and actually do very little work over the year
My view was that if there's anything wrong with them you would find out quickly, certainly within 2 years.
So I went for the best design, which in my view was the the Enduro, which also was the cheapest when I bought it, by a long way.
I've had it a year, fitted it myself, absolutely no problems.
I hope that's not famous last words
If it is, I'll let you know

I would question the charge for the guarantee I did a price match against the Enduro and still got the 5 years are you sure the £95 wasn't for the fitting.

This is from Powrtouch website 'We will match any price and still maintain our quality and 5 year FOC (Free Of Charge) guarantee (not a warranty) for parts and labour.'

They might have now cottoned on to the fact that the Enduro isn't an exact match, ie the warranty isn't as good, so they are evening up the odds.

It was definitely for the extra guarantee - I cut and pasted that sum out of their email. I did wonder if they would drop the extra 3 years guarantee if I asked them nicely! I don't know whether I'll still be caravanning in 5 years - I'm only doing this to see how I get on towing on my own and, if I don't like it in 12 months' time, I'll sell the 'van anyway. No harm in asking, I suppose, they can only say no can't they?

Got a PowerTouch Motor Mover free when I bought my new van (2 months ago).
Very happy with it, makes life so much easier!
