HI, we have our tourer sited all season, go every weekend, but if we fancy a change we just hitch up and go for a week or two, then back to the site,

twice a month at least. We have 'long haul' trips planned for the year, weekends at more local sites and we have already booked for the bank holidays.

The new burstner has got us thinking of getting away earlier this year.

When OH was working we had a 3 week trip and a 2 week trip in summer and a week or long weekend later.  Other weekends were out due to work and looking after house/garden etc.  Now we are retired we have 5 months away in total  planned for this year.

Bank holidays, (normally not too far-avoid jams!)and at least once a month in the summer. Plus a trip "sur le continent" most years, if we don't go further afield.

We usually put our van on a local site (CC minimum facilities) in July or Aug for a week or two and live in it and go to work, as its not too far. We can call in home to collectt mail, do washing etc as and when!

Just added up all the dates we were away,worked out to be 17 weeks through the yr.
