Hi Folks,

I've just bought my first caravan and look forawrd to picking it up next weekend.

It's a 2000 Bailey Ranger - I paid £4700 with awning and all extras. Do you think it is a fair price?

Also, When should I be looking to book a site for Easter? am I too late?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark

Price is about right for your van. As to booking a site for Easter, it could be a little late as caravanning has become so popular you need to book early. You dont mention if you have children, but if you havent there are adult only sites which may have some vacancies, or perhaps some "off the beaten track" site. So get looking and booking now.

Hi Mark

What area are you looking for? Are you CC or CCC members?

If you update your profile with your location we can maybe narrow the search a little.

Congratulations on the new caravan, we had a Bailey and loved it, you won't be dissapointed.

I bet you can't wait.

Cheers

Paul

Hi,

I'm not a member of CC or CCC but will join a club shortly

I'm based in Northumberland and want to do some short trips first so anywhere in North Yorkshire or the Lakes would be nice.

I'm really excited about getting away.

Thanks for the help.

Mark

Hi Mark

Check out the search HERE or click search at the top of the page.

I can only think of three that far North that I've been to, all reasonable and nothing daunting for a "learning weekend".

Brown Moor excellent CC site at Hawes, but I expect it will be fully booked for Easter.

Akebar Park, Static and Tourers near Leyburn. Good facilities, but a bit big for us, would be ok if you could get in. They don't have any reviews on here by request, but we found it fine.

Westholme Park, Statics and Tourers again, near Aysgarth Falls, nice but a little pricey, has a small Bar on site.

There will be others soon with their recommendations, or try a post on the UK Caravan & Campsite board.

HTH

Paul

Ok Mark, How many cups of tea have you had in it? We spent a lot of time just sat in ours on the drive with a brew and thinking of the adventures / holidays we are gonna have.

Brilliant.

Congratulations.

Steve
