We have a new Bailey and it came with the Tracker Alarm fitted by Bailey. It has been fine, but when we used the van the other day, the alarm didnt beep off, when I pressed the remote (this meant the alarm stays activated constantly. To cut a story short, we have just had the engineer out - and he has confirmed that it needed replacing.
Apparently when Tracker supplied Bailey with the alarm, it became apparent after a particular batch, some were faulty - approx 1 in 10! They didnt recall the vans because of the vast number, but relied on us end user notifying of a fault. We have had the whole lot taken out, replaced and been given new remote / numbers etc.
It took the guy approx 2 hours in the freezing cold - what a trooper. Its good to know that it is now secure and working properly, but it would have been good if Tracker / Bailey had at least warned us customers that there could be a potential problem, rater than us finding out the hard way!
Still all better now.

Just bought a new Senator yesterday and take delivery on the 1st of March, I'm hoping we will have 1 of the 9 out of 10 that don't have the fault. Thanks for the warning.
How long have you had your van is everything else OK with it, any advise would be much appreciated.
Cheers
George

Hi George
We took delivery in November 07. We had the dealer fit the Powrtouch mover, and there were problems with it from day one, because they hadnt set it up properly. We ended up having the Powrtouch engineer out to sort it out once and for all - I wouldnt have the dealer fit again!!
The TV that came with the van caused an issue too. Again the dealer said he had sorted out the forms etc, but the TV was not forthcoming. My hubby chased it up and eventually after speaking to the distributor MD direct we took delivery of the TV - we insisted on it being couriered to us at home, at their cost due to us having waited several weeks, and we wanted to go away to test the van!
The dealer is a locally well known and reputable one - we had always thought of them as 'posh' and looking so professional - but we wont be going back!
Apart from this, the van is gorgeous. The build quality is great, everything works well and it tows like a dream. The onboard water tank has taken some getting used to but the diagrams are fairly straightforward. The Bailey quick set up book is useful and on the whole we both love the caravan. We intend keeping it for a good few years, as our kids are now 14 and 17, and we will be holidaying on our own soon - pure luxury!
I hope your van arrives on time and that you enjoy it! Good luck
Nicky
